QR Igniter
QR Igniter generates GS1 Digital Link QR codes at fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) scale — the 2D codes retail checkouts are moving to under GS1 Sunrise 2027, and the identifier the EU Digital Product Passport is expected to build on. An optional selector page lets shoppers choose from the links you set up — customer service, recipes, nutrition, allergens, sustainability and more.
GET /01/05412345000013/10/A1B2
→ resolves to your chosen destination
POST /api/v1/qr-codes/batch/create-sequential
"gtin": "05412345000013",
"count": 1000, "start_serial": 1
Compliant codes, from data to label.
Interim selector
Only in QR IgniterOne code, many destinations. Switch on the selector page and shoppers choose from the links you set up — customer service, recipes, nutrition, allergens, sustainability and more. No extra codes on pack.
GS1 Digital Link
Encode GTIN, batch/lot and serial number — plus expiry, net weight and variant — in standard GS1 Digital Link codes, with every GTIN checked against its check digit.
Bulk & serialised runs
Generate up to 1,000 serialised codes per API call, or import up to 10,000 codes from a CSV or Excel file, for FMCG production runs.
Dynamic redirects
Change where a printed code sends shoppers — after it's on the shelf. Retarget campaigns without reprinting a thing.
REST API
Create codes and pull scan data from your own systems.
Print-ready output
Vector SVG, print PDF at 300 ppi, EPS and PNG up to 5,000 px, ready for the label-design software on your line.
Scan analytics
See scans by product, campaign, country, city, device and time — and click any chart to see the scans behind it.
Print-safe by design
Codes downloaded for print are locked, so the product details printed in them can't be changed by mistake. Where they send shoppers still can.
Your brand in the code
Colours, shapes, frames and your logo, with a contrast check and a warning before a logo grows large enough to stop the code scanning.
Built for agencies
Run several clients from one account. Roles keep each person to their own clients' codes and scan data, in the panel and the API.
From the factory line to the shelf.
Put a compliant code on every product.

Frequently asked questions
What is QR Igniter?
QR Igniter is a GS1 Digital Link QR code generator on the Ignited Platform. It creates codes at FMCG scale, resolves them through a GS1-conformant resolver, and has a REST API for your own systems.
Is QR Igniter GS1 compliant?
Yes. QR Igniter generates GS1 Digital Link QR codes that encode the GTIN with batch or lot number and serial number, and can also carry expiry date, net weight and variant. Every GTIN is checked against its check digit, and the resolver passes GS1's resolver conformance tests.
Can QR Igniter connect to SAP?
Not directly today. QR Igniter has a REST API your systems, or an integration partner, can use to create codes and read scan data. Talk to us about your set-up.
Can QR Igniter drive industrial label printers?
QR Igniter produces print-ready files — vector SVG, 300 ppi PDF, EPS and PNG up to 5,000 px — for the label-design software on your line. It doesn't drive printers directly.
What is the interim selector in QR Igniter?
The interim selector is an optional page that lets one printed code offer several destinations. When it is switched on, shoppers who scan choose from the links you have set up — customer service, recipes, nutrition, allergens, sustainability and more — without extra codes on the pack.
Can I change where a printed QR code points after it has been printed?
Yes. You can change where a printed code sends shoppers at any time and retarget campaigns without reprinting. The product details encoded in a printed code are locked, so a change can't break codes already on the shelf.
Does QR Igniter support the Digital Product Passport?
Not as a dedicated feature yet. QR Igniter's codes use GS1 Digital Link, the identifier the EU Digital Product Passport is expected to use, so they are a foundation to build on as the rules phase in.
How much does QR Igniter cost?
QR Igniter is licensed on the Ignited Platform from £37.50 per month ex VAT.
Can an agency manage several brands in QR Igniter?
Yes. One account can hold several clients, and roles limit each user to their own clients' codes and scan data, in the panel and through the API.
